We have arrived at Number 9, Number 9, Number 9… that is, the 9th in our RepriseMe series of profiles in which we expose the deepest innermost thoughts of the men and women who work at Reprise Media. This time we catch up with baseball playing, book writing, Pilgrim progeny Steven Bustin, Reprise Media’s VP/GM in San Francisco.
1) Where are you From?
Born in Baltimore, MD. Moved to CA after undergraduate school. Direct ancestors have been in this country since the mid 1600’s, before we were a country.
2) Favorite Website?
YouTube (for entertainment), Google (for utility), and so many others.
3) Great moments in Reprise History?
Almost missing my first all-hands company meetingand my own introduction to the company. Our greatest history is of course, still ahead of us.
4) Reprise Job Related Tip?
There are a ton of super bright people here – communicate, ask for help and opinions – we can all get smarter that way. Don’t hesitate to disagree. Bring something to the table and we all win.
5) Which Search Engine Would You Be and Why?
I would be the little engine that could, whatever engine that may be in the future.
6) Favorite TV Shows?
None that I like enough to go out of my way to watch. Others that I did, but they are gone: Rome, West Wing, Extreme Elimination. I watch the History Channel, Nova, A&E, CNN, SciFi, etc. I never watch reality shows as they have no basis in reality.
7) Favorite Movies?
1941, Animal House, Iron Man, and a lot of older movies.
8 ) Favorite Music/musicians?
Too many to list. My musical tastes are as varied as my friends.
Sorry, I don’t do hard drugs.
10) Favorite Social Media Tool, and why?
The Telephone…and Facebook so I can look at all my friends photos.
11) Favorite Book?
Carnage and Culture, In Defense of Food, Humble Heroes (my bias, I wrote it.) Being a lifelong voracious reader, I simply cannot list them all.
12) How much time do you spend on social media over the weekend?
No idea. But more than I do watching TV.
