Is Google about to buy Feedburner for $100 Million? TechCrunch reports that the sale is confirmed,

“Feedburner is in the closing stages of being acquired by Google for around $100 million. The deal is all cash and mostly upfront, according to our source, although the founders will be locked in for a couple of years. The information we have is that the deal is now under a binding term sheet and will close in 2-3 weeks, and there is nothing that can really derail it at this point.”

As many people have already pointed out, this is a win-win situation for Feeburner and Google. Feedburner is the number one blog feed syndication platform (with terrific subscriber stats), while Google is, well, Google. I could see Feedburner being easily integrated into Google Blogger, Adwords, Analytics, Reader, etc. Considering Feedburner’s network of millions of readers and obvious utility for Google, $100 Mil almost seems too low.

100MM too much?? I think there is some irrational exuberance in this post. For a company with no revenues to report – this seems high. They are essentially “buying the feed market” instead of building their own.
