Rumors are swirling that Google is getting set to deliver a software bundle of joy in the form of Google Pack a downloadable collection of programs that’s easy for the average user to install.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Adobe Reader, Norton AntiVirus, Firefox, RealPlayer, Trillian and others will be among the applications included in Google Pack, expected to be announced this week at CES.

Danny Sullivan of Search Engine Watch has more.

Google stock is, of course, up at the news, and there’s also word that Google will soon allow viewers to buy content from CBS, the NBA and other video providers. That story is here in the Chicago Sun Times.
