
The idea makes sense and even though I’ve had some time to get used to the idea of Google offering print ads, I still have to say it seems a little weird. Like Henry Ford coming out with a horse and buggy after he came out with the Model T and everyone in the industry exclaiming “How innovative!” and “Landmark, my good man!”
The headline on the home page of the Google Publication Ads site says “Broaden your advertising horizons. See your ads in print.”
The invite-only service made its debut this week and enables advertisers to place ads in print pubs targeting a particular demographic.
