Google Video Blog: Each week the Official Google Video Blog will showcase a small number of videos centered around a common theme. It doesn’t look like the kind of blog where they’ll post product updates and that kind of stuff but it’s only days old so who knows.

Google Goes Brit: The search engine has announced it will be opening an office in Manchester, England. It’s Google’s first regional office in the UK and it will be located in Manchester, an area where Google execs say there’s great universities and a strong talent pool.

Google DVR?: Garett Rogers speculates on the possibility of a Google-branded digital DVR/satellite service and lays out a future where live television is beamed by satellite to Google servers for on-demand play. Not sure if we’re buying it but it’s fun to think about. Read more here.

Kai-Fu Lee Case Update: A judge in California has issued a stay in the ongoing Microsoft/Google squabble over Kai-Fu Lee, a former Microsoft employee that the company claims was poached by Google. This means Lee can’t do much but recruit until at least January of next year. Might we suggest some of these?
