Although “Samy’sSpace” does have a nice alliterative ring, the folks at social networking site MySpace probably wouldn’t be so amused.
They’re still reeling from a worm attack that’s spread throughout the MySpace membership, resulting in over 1 million members becoming instant friends with an anonymous hacker who has put his messge – “samy is my hero” – on their homepages.
Google Blogoscoped has an awesome interview with the worm’s Los Angeles-based creator, a self-styled “playboy/software developer” who says he is “19, turning old, and working hard while enjoying life.” Right.
Meanwhile, the gang over at Slashdot critique his code.
