Forbes just released their list of the 25 Richest Americans. If you’ve got the time it takes to click through 25 different pages (and see 25 different ads – funny how that works out) you can check it out here.
If you’ve got other things to do (installing shelf paper, rubber band ball building, etc.) then you can read a nice write-up in TechNewsWorld and get at the goods a little faster.
Perhaps most noteworthy is the significant tech representation among the top 25. Gates is, of course, still #1 for the 11th year in a row but Google’s Larry and Sergey made significant gains. The pair was ranked #43 last year with net worths of $4 billion apiece but this year they’re up to #16 with about $11 billion each.
Other golden geeks included Paul Allen at #3 with $22.5 billion, Michael Dell at #4 with $18 billion, Larry Ellison of Oracle at #5 with 17 billion, Steven Ballmer at #11 with $14 billion, and Jeff Bezos at #42 with $4.8 billion.
