“Not perfect, but a great journey,”

are the words used by Wired reporter Ryan Singel to describe journalist and tech guru John Battelle’s new book, “The Search,” which was put into wide release this week.

The book is a “a surprisingly gripping story of hackers turning insights about information into a billion-dollar business” and is brought to you by the same man who co-founded Wired magazine at the age of 26, a devout yoga practioner who also runs a popular blog.

A copy of the book arrived at our offices yesterday and it’s currently making the rounds. I’m looking forward to taking a look, a quick flip through the index yesterday was intriguing on its own.

Read the rest of Singel’s review now and get your own copy of The Search here on Amazon.

BTW, not to be a spoiler or anything, but we hear that “Google” company turns out pretty well in the end…
