Off of one rumor and on to another. This morning’s latest is that Technorati is about to be bought by a large search company.
The WhatsNext blog says it might be Yahoo and Robert Scoble has an email in to Technorati CEO David Sifry to check. All’s quiet on the Sifry blog but we’ll keep you posted.
By the way, it’s really crazy how often we’re seeing Technorati and other blog search services being mentioned in news stories as an indicator of the buzz surrounding an issue.
One of the most recent is this story on Cindy Sheehan, the soldier’s mom who’s camped out on President Bush’s ranch. Right now she’s the #1 search term on Technorati.

The timing of rumour this is interesting – News Corp just announced they are about to buy a search engine (http://www.tomrafteryit.net/news-corp-to-buy-technorati/) – would Dave sell out to Rupert Murdoch? Say it isn’t so Dave!
