Google has taken its personalized search one step further by extending the functionality to include images as well. Logged in users who’ve completed an image search and clicked on a thumbnail will now see that thumbnail appear as part of their recent search history along with regular document results.

Unlike Yahoo’s MyWeb, Google’s personalization is based mostly on past searches rather than social networks. Which service is going to emerge as the best remains to be seen, but the MyWeb blog hopes to refute some of the social networking bashing that’s been in vogue as of late in this post called Halloo, Skeptics!
