  • Still Truckin Last January we told you about the GM Fastlane Blog, sharing the latest musings from the General Motors Vice Chairman and his cronies. Fastlane has since added a number of a new features, including podcasts on the new Corvette and GM’s Testing facility. There’s also a link to this AutoWeek interview with Bob Lutz.
  • Even Tougher to Crack AlmondNet is a “searchtextual” service that uses cookies to gather data and deliver advertising based on a user’s recent queries. An update on our story earlier this year noting some user privacy concerns – the firm has just hired a privacy consulting firm to design and promote a strategy to protect consumer privacy on their network.
  • Fat Chance The Yahoo/Fat Actress cross-promo story we did last February may all be for naught. Word has it that critics are giving the show a slim chance of surviving cancellation.
  • Nothing Rhymes with Kijiji The online classified ad sites eBay launched last March continue to chug along. The Taipei Times says it’s part of eBay’s plans to expand its online sales formats and kill the competition. Kijiji’s recent acquisition of the German classified site “opusforum” should help.
  • Yea, We Know How to Pick ‘Em Just a few months ago we were singing the praises of MySpace. Just last week they got acquired by News Corporation, effectively making Rupert Murdoch their boss. Don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
