Noted columnist and pundit, conservative party defectee, 5th place in the race for governor of California – Arianna Huffington is many things. Now she’ll be adding blog jockey to her list of accomplishments as Variety reports on Huffington’s new online publishing venture, The Huffington Report, a Slate-style mix of media and politics that will feature thinking from a number of notables, including Senator Jon Corzine, David Geffen, Barry Diller, Larry David, Ari Emanuel, and Tina Brown.

Variety worries “how these honchos fare in the Wild West of the ‘Net,” though maybe it’s their publicists we should be worried about once these opinionmakers start blogging off at the mouth.

The Huffington Report will launch later this month. Til then, check out Arianna’s existing blog here.
