Next time you’re getting doused on a city street corner waiting for a ride, give Google a try. The recently launched Google Ride Finder leverages Google Maps technology to help users find transportation services within a given area.

Right now it’s pretty crude, there’s only coverage for 11 cities and very few entries for each. Google developers are hoping to add more cities and services in the months to come. Check out the Google Blog for more.
