John Battelle has an interesting post with speculation on whether MSN will give users the ability to find, read and search through MyMSN for blogs and RSS content, similar to MyYahoo!


While Yahoo! and MSN duke it out, the upgrades to MyMSN and MyYahoo! as well as Bloglines, Lektora and others signify a move toward web-based RSS readers. Battelle links to an interesting article here and Jeremy Zawodny has the counterpoint here.


Rumor has it that MSN and Yahoo! are each going to be launching their own RSS reader eventually, which may eliminate some of the benefit. This reminds us of the toolbar craze, where each company has their own spin, but ultimately it’s all about designing ‘sticky’ products that keep the users coming back.
