You know corporate blogs are catching on when the nation’s second largest employer gets in the mix. General Motors Vice Chairman Bob Lutz gives a sneak peek at new products, shares his philosophy of customer service and even posts a picture or two here.

GM is the first Fortune 100 company to do this and even though we’re all pretty impressed, some say maybe we shouldn’t be. Tech entrepreneur and blogger Antoin Lachtnain makes a great point when he says:

The question for a company executive shouldn’t really be ‘Should we blog?’. Rather, the question should be ‘Why aren’t we using the Internet to communicate with our customers and potential customers?’
