Quality Score
Google’s algorithm for determining the end rank of their AdWords paid search ads. Although Google does not share all of the factors which contribute to an advertiser’s Quality Score, they have indicated that an advertiser’s bid, click through rate, historical performance and the relevance of both their advertisement and landing page
Query
A command entered into a search tool. In the search industry, queries can include words and phrases, Boolean operators or other advanced search commands.
Query-By-Example
Also known-as "find similar," a search query where the user instructs an engine to search for similar documents.
Query Refinement
An ongoing process, by which the user and search engine attempt to alter their searches and the results provide.
Quick Time
Apple's proprietary video format, which is used on the Internet and in various desktop applications.
