Keyword
A term or phrase entered into a search engine by a user. For SEM, paid advertisements are purchased on a keyword basis and matched to related search queries.
Keyword Density
The ratio of the number of times a keyword appears within the text of a web page to the overall number of words in the text.
Keyword Phrase
Refers to two or more terms combined to form a search query.
Keyword Relevance
A measure of the relevance of a website to a keyword (or keyword phrase) used in a search query. Keyword relevance is primariliiy measured by the use of keywords in the title tag, meta tags, alternative text, hyperlink text, or document text of a website.
Keyword Search
A search for web content that contains one or more words, as specified by the user.
Keyword Targeting
Advertisements that are targeted to users who entered a specific keyword or phrase into a search engine.
